Another brand that also announced its latest version is Nokia. In January this year, the company has announced that it will be releasing Nokia Lumia 720 by March. So, to give you an idea if there is something great about the new version, below are the features and specs which you can compare to other latest smartphones.

Does Lumia 720 offer better design and display?

The phone has dimensions of 127.9 x 67.5 x 9 mm or 5.04 x 2.66 x 0.35 in. It is long and a bit narrow. It is also thin but not as thin as other latest smartphones that measure as thin as 0.31 inches. It weighs 128 grams or 4.52 oz. It is a little lighter than other phones. The Samsung Galaxy S4 weighs 130 grams.

For the display, the type is ICS LCD capacitive touchscreen in 16M colors. The screen is 4.3 inches wide with 480 x 800 pixels and 217 PPI pixel density. The resolution is a bit low especially if compared to other smartphones such as iPhone 5 and LG Optimus L9. The display is also multi-touch with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 as its protection.

Does it offer bigger memory space?

The internal memory is 8 GB with a 512 MB RAM. It has a card slot for microSD that is expandable to up to 64 GB. It is good that it has a slot for an expandable memory. However, its RAM is a bit small as compared to others that have 1 or 2 GB. This definitely affects the speed of accessing apps.

Does it have advance camera features?

The primary camera is 6.7 MP with 2848 x 2144 pixels, LED flash, auto focus and Carl Zeiss optics. Its features are geo-tagging and 1/3.6 inches sensor size. It has a relatively higher MP and resolution. So, it is also good for taking photos even in low light. However, other recent smartphones such as the Sony Xperia Z has a far better camera with 13 MP. The secondary camera of Lumia has 1.3 MP. The Xperia has 2.2 MP.

What are its other features?

The Lumia 720 is available in white, red, yellow and cyan/black. It has accelerometer, proximity and compass for its sensors. For messaging, it has email, MMS, push email, IM and SMS in threaded views. The other features are video/photo editor, document viewer, predictive text input, voice/memo/dial commands, SNS integration, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, 7 GB free SkyDrive storage and others. The battery can lasts a talk time of up to 23 hours and 20 minutes for 2G and 13 hours and 20 minutes for 3G. It can lasts up to 79 hours for music play and up to 520 hours for stand-by mode.

The Nokia Lumia 720 offers relatively great features but not something striking like the 13 MP camera of Sony Xperia. Still, the phone can be a good choice for business people if accessing phone systems such as the RingCentral business VoIP is concerned. For users who love music and videos, the phone is also a good choice as it has huge memory space.
