iphone accessoriesThere are so many iPhone accessories and gadgets you can salivate over nowadays, and majority of them don’t come cheap. Fortunately, there’s still time to save up. While some accessories listed below have already been released, quite a few of them are still in their prototype stages or are still awaiting a spectacular launch. We decided to round up some of the coolest ones, so you can save up and prioritize which one to get first. Here are our favorites:

The Tech21 Impactology Impact Shield

Marketing itself as “the most advanced screen protector available for your device”, the Tech21 Impactology Impact Shield is designed for your iPhone, iPad Mini, and the latest Samsung Galaxy models. The product’s multi-layer protection lessens the impact of objects on your smartphone screen by 80 percent without sacrificing touch sensitivity. What’s most interesting is the Tech21’s mutant-like abilities. Its website boasts of “self-healing anti-scratch properties” and “BulletShield™ featuring a BASF protection interlayer – also used in bullet proof glass.”  You can easily apply the Tech21 on your iPhone or iPad Mini to get instant protection from the evil forces that threaten the scratch-free visage of your Apple device. It’s now available on the market for $29.99.

The Pocket Tripod by Geometrical Inc. & Rambod Radmard

In the age of Instagram and selfies where “everyone’s a professional photographer”, this is one of the most useful accessories you could have.  Made for your iPhone 5, 4, or 4S, the Pocket Tripod lets you easily adjust your phone at any angle for a stable and well-lighted shot. Best part is that you don’t have to worry about where to put it during your travels; it’s only 2.3mm thin and fits easily in your pocket or wallet. So far, this 30-dollar product is still a prototype. It will reportedly be released on June 2014, which gives you lots of time to save up.  However, backers on Kickstarter can get their own Pocket Tripod anytime from November 2013 to July 2014, depending on how much they pledge. So far, a lot have pledged to back it up, and it looks as if it’s going to reach its $45,000 goal. Now that’s good news, isn’t it?

iFrogz Caliber Advantage iPhone Case

This is not the iPhone case for everyone, but it will definitely make both casual and hardcore gamers drool.  The iFrogz Caliber Advantage iPhone Case is an iPhone 5 accessory that turns your mobile device into a gaming console.  Using Bluetooth 4.0, the gadget connects to any enabled application. Features include true analog joysticks, shoulder buttons, a D-pad, and face buttons. It also boasts of two months standby power and up to 10 hours of continuous gameplay.
Engadget says that iFrogz is working on a deal with Chair Entertainment and Epic Games to build the basis for the Caliber software. The company unveiled the $59.99 case-slash-controller during CES 2013. It will also be hosting its own developer conference to rally support for the platform and its released titles.

Canopy Sensus

Another accessory launched during CES 2013, the Canopy Sensus is an “app-enhancing case” that does more than just provide protection for your iPhone. The Sensus’ right and back surfaces are both touch-sensitive, letting you interact with apps more easily. For instance, instead of swiping through the screen to scroll through a website, you can simply slide a finger on the side of the Canopy Sensus, so your fingers won’t be in the way of what you’re reading. CNET also mentions that the case would let blind users respond to audio texts when they hold their phones in landscape mode and use the Sensus’ surface to write in braille.
