Sony Xperia Z: A Force To Be Reckoned With

Sony is a Japanese company dedicated in providing all consumers with top-quality electronic products. This manufacturer is one of the top producers of electronic devices and gadgets in the world. It has produced the Bravia, Vaio laptop, mass produced the famous Walkman, Xperia, and the very popular Play Station.

In the smartphone market, Sony has dropped from the top in the past few years. This is due to the emergence of the iPhone and how it dominated the market since then. Sony has produced a number of smartphones that are quite advance and high-tech. However, these gadgets have failed to be recognized to be at par with its competition.

Now, Sony has introduced its new flagship smartphone in the Consumer Electronic Show 2013. This one is called the Sony Xperia Z. Critics have claimed that this smartphone would blow the competition away, and it’s not even out yet.

In comparison with the top smartphones in the market, the Xperia Z is notably faster, has better image resolution, larger screen size, unmatched video capture and longer battery life. It also has an expandable memory by putting a micro SD in the unit.

There is a reason why this gadget has great video capabilities. It is equipped with an HDR video capability that is something new in the smartphone market. To simply state what this new feature is, it would enable the Xperia Z to capture video with a more balanced image. It also has The Exmor RS sensor that helps take pictures in low light and photo quality.

The Xperia Z’s display can also rival the strongest competitor in the market. It has a 5 inch 1080p Reality Display. This is comparably larger than the iPhone 5 and the same as the Samsung Galaxy S III. It also is built with tempered glass on both front and rear sides that would make the smartphone a sturdy gadget, but comparably heavier than the iPhone 5.

The reason why the Xperia Z is fast is because of its 1.5 gigahertz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 2 gigabytes of RAM. This enables the unit to have a speedy data processing that would lessen the delay in performing applications.

The Xperia Z is run by Android Jelly Bean 4.1 which complements its quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. Having an Android operating system would mean that the unit can be modified to suit the taste of the user. It would also have the Play Store which would allow user to have access to an expanding selection of hundreds of thousands of applications. All of these are ready to be bought or downloaded for free at any time.

The most amazing feature the Xperia Z has is that it is water resistant. It is the only water resistant smartphone in the market. It is also voted as the best smartphone in this year’s CES, and it is not even released yet. That alone is something that would keep its competition on their toes.

These features should be well taken by Samsung and Apple, the top smartphone manufacturers in the world. Since it is not yet released, Sony can still make improvements in the unit, improvements that can move the market in its favor. The only problem now is its pricing. If it is reasonably priced, the Sony Xperia Z will be a force to be reckoned with.
