More than Just a Music Player – iPod Touch 5th Generation

Design. The 5th gen Touch measures 4.86 x 2.31 x 0.24 inch and weighs about 88 grams. It is something that is lightweight and fits perfectly into your pocket. Display. The new Touch has a 4 inch widescreen Retina display with multi-touch IPS functions. It has a pixel resolution of 1136 x 640, perfect for streaming high definition videos.  Also, he screen is protected by a fingerprint resistant oleophobic coating.

Speed and Capacity. It runs on the latest dual core A5 chip and is available in 32GB or 64GB flavors. There are more space for your music, movies and documents.

Camera. The new Touch sports a 5MP iSight camera which takes clearer photos compared to that of the 4th gen version because of the five-element lens. Still has the autofocus feature and face detection. Panorama setting and LED flash has now been added to the new Touch.

Video recording has a good quality and is similar to that with the iPhone 5, which is at 1080p. It can record HD videos up to 30 frames per second with audio. The FaceTime HD camera can take 1.2MP photos and shoot HD videos at 720p up to 30 frames per second. The camera is decent enough for video calling through FaceTime.

Connectivity. WiFi and Bluetooth® ready. Has a lightning connector for file transfer and charging. Also has a 3.55 mm stereo headphone jack. Built in speaker and microphone.

Battery. Can last up to 40 hours of music playback when fully charged, and 8 hours with video playback. It takes about 4 hours to be plugged in to reach full charge.
